Calm Yourself With Chamomile. There are two different ways you can go about using this as a home treatment. One way is to apply chamomile lotion to the hemorrhoid, while the second is to use chamomile tea bags. You can heat the tea bags, then place them in a freezer for about 5 minutes. After that, if you choose, you can apply them to your hemorrhoid. Of both of these options, there's no right or wrong treatment. The reason why chamomile works is because it alleviates pain, itching, and redness caused from inflammation.

 

Rub-a-Dub-Dub. The way this works is that you're going to take a 20-minute warm bath, approximately 2 or 3 times a day. You can add lavender, epsom salts, or baking soda to cut down on swelling. Be sure to lightly dry the hemorrhoid with a clean towel. The reason why these warm baths work are because they cut back on bacteria, alleviate itching or swelling, relax you, and increase blood flow. In turn, this results in faster recooperation or healing time.

 

Work It Out. In basic terms, make sure to get plenty of 20-30 minutes of exercise daily. As long as whatever exercises you choose to do are aerobic in nature, it doesn't matter what you do.
