Hemorrhoid Cures
Before we can even begin to discuss how hemorrhoids can be cured, it's imperative to know what they are. To start, hemorrhoids are piles of infected, swollen and inflamed veins that are typically located around one's anus. However, they are not limited to the outside of the body. Some individuals can have internal hemorrhoids, as well. Some of the things that can cause hemorrhoids include, but are not limited to the following: anal sex, aging, strain while going to the bathroom, and pregnancy. Symptoms include itching, discharge, bleeding, and pain.
As far as hemorrhoid cures are concerned, there are several. The following is a list of various hemorrhoid cures, how to use them, and exactly how they benefit you.
Cleanse. 2 or 3 times a day, soak in a hot bath for 20 minutes. Sit all the way down in the tub, that way the hemorrhoids are absorbed by the water.
Cool Down. Cut down on inflammation and irritation by using cleansing cloths, and ointments like Preparation-H. Witch hazel can be used as well. However, try to stay away from soap. With some brands, it may only make the pain and swelling worse. Also, sit on small pillows or life preserver rings.
Self Medicate. Take a pain reliver, like aspirin or ibuprofen, which will help alleviate swelling and any soreness.
Get Help. If after 2 weeks you don't have success by trying one or more of the above mentioned tips, see your doctor immediately. He or she may be able to do one of several things, including but not limited to: shots, surgery, and laser treatments.
For the most part, one or more of these cures will work if done correctly. If you have any doubts or concerns about performing these on your own, don't be afraid to enlist the assistance of a family member or dear friend. After all, it's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your health!
